$5 and Under Community Events 2012

As a benefit to our residents we wanted to provide a list of some of the $5 and under events we offer each year.
We look forward to seeing you at these wonderful events!

For more information regarding these programs please call 847/259-6890. Our program fees are used in part to provide funding for these events.

4th & 5th - Flashlight Egg Hunt at Twin Lakes - 7:45pm; $5/person
7th—Easter Egg Hunt at Twin Lakes - 10am; FREE for residents


May
18th—Spring Garage Sale at Twin Lakes—9am-3pm; FREE to shop

June
8th—Patio Entertainment at Twin Lakes—7-9pm; FREE
9th—Fishing Derby at Twin Lakes—8-11:30am; $4/person day of
16th—Car Show at Twin Lakes—10am-3pm; FREE
22nd—Patio Entertainment at Twin Lakes—7-9pm; FREE

1st-15th—Santa’s Mailbox, letters can be dropped off for Santa at Rose Park
1st—Pet Pictures at Twin Lakes—10am-Noon; $7, $1 each additional dog.
14th—Candy Cane Hunt at Twin Lakes—$5/person

Family Trips


Jelly Belly Trip


Get ready to have Buttered Popcorn, Chili Mango, Toasted Marshmallow, Caramel Corn and Orange Sherbet all in one sitting. Enjoy a tour inside the legendary Jelly Belly factory with a Jelly Belly Express Train Tour through Candy Alley that features large screen viewing of the company’s century of candy making.

Strawberry Picking*
Saturday, June 9
How about spending an old fashioned morning out on the farm picking
 
strawberries? We will be on picking at McCann’s Berry Farm in Woodstock and
 
at Susie’s Garden Patch in Garden Prairie depending on this summer’s berries.

There might also be lettuce, snap peas and beans available for us to pick. So

come join us and enjoy the taste of freshly picked strawberries.

Parents must accompany children.

Time: 8am-1pm Fee R/NR: $5/$8

Loc.: Bus leaves from the Community Center of Rolling Meadows Park District. (Senior Center entrance)

Wisconsin State Fair*
Saturday, August 11
Cross the border to the Wisconsin State Fair. See the farm animals up close, try

samples from the many food booths and enjoy a large midway with carnival

games and rides. Fee includes entrance fee and transportation.

Fee is per person, children 6 and under are free, but must register.

Time: 8am-7pm

Fee R/NR: $10/$15- age 7-11, $20/$30- age 12-59, $15/$23- age 60+

Loc.: Bus leaves from the Community Center of Rolling Meadows Park District (Senior Center Entrance)

Parent must accompany children.

Registration deadline is 8/5

Saltcreek
